UNSHAKEN: 3 Powerful Ways to Stand Strong

ree

Have you ever found yourself smiling for the world while carrying an invisible weight inside? You show up, do what needs to be done, all while feeling exhausted and wondering how much longer you can hold it together. There are seasons when life feels relentless—an unexpected phone call, a door that's suddenly closed, long nights that lead you to quietly question your strength. These moments test us deeply, but there’s a powerful truth to remember: unshaken women don’t crumble, they anchor themselves deeper.

When the waves of life rise, it’s tempting to panic, rush, and try to fix everything ourselves. But lasting resilience isn’t about drowning in overwhelm—it’s about digging our roots deeper into faith and purpose. Let’s explore three practical ways to stay unshaken, even when life gets heavy.

1. Pause, But Don’t Panic

When chaos hits, the instinct is usually to fix things quickly or react immediately. But wisdom often calls us to put things on pause, inviting peace before taking action. Pausing isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s actually a strategic move. It allows you to step back, breathe, and protect your peace while you listen for guidance.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is switch off your phone, grab a journal, and ask yourself what truly matters today. When everything feels urgent, pausing helps reset your spirit and organize priorities. The simple act of asking, “What is most important for me to do today?” brings clarity. You’re not relinquishing control; you’re choosing to invite calm and focus, trusting that you don’t have to do it all on your own. Remember, peace is a power move. It fuels wise decisions and effective action.

2. Pray Through It, Not Around It

It’s normal to want to pray away the storm—to ask for difficulties to disappear. But sometimes challenges come not to stop us, but to strengthen us. Praying through adversity rather than around it means facing the reality head-on, bringing your worries, fears, and pain directly to God. When you do this, your storms can become sanctuaries—places where real transformation happens.

Prayer doesn’t just change situations; it changes you. It quiets the noise and opens a space for peace to rise inside, even as you remain vulnerable. Worshiping through pain has the power to weaken the force of the storm. When you surrender your struggle in prayer and worship, you’ll notice the internal trembling begin to fade. You might still be in the eye of the storm, but your heart grows steady. Vulnerability with God brings focus and calm, making it possible to move forward even when circumstances haven’t changed.

3. Partner with People of Purpose

Strength isn’t intended to be built in isolation. The people you surround yourself with directly impact your response to life’s challenges. Not everyone should be in your inner circle—find those who are like-minded, purpose-driven, and committed to lifting each other up. When you have the right support system, you’re able to stand firm no matter what life brings.

Community matters. Whether it’s a group dedicated to growth, faith, and empowerment, or just a few chosen friends, you need people who encourage you, cheer you on, and walk alongside you through struggles. Reach out when life gets heavy—don’t allow yourself to go silent and shoulder burdens alone. Share your journey with others who see your strength and are ready to partner with you in lifting each other up.

Reflect and Release

Take a moment to pause and reflect: where are you losing peace because you’re trying to control what only God can calm? Write it down, surrender it, and let go. Supernatural strength begins with surrender—not with gripping tighter, but by releasing the things you cannot change.

Remember: you are unshaken, unstoppable, and chosen. The storms you face don’t define you; your strength does. You are meant to rise, surrounded by a supportive community, anchored in faith and purpose. Keep stepping out, trusting that you never have to weather life’s storms alone. Together, you will grow, empower one another, and remain truly unshaken.
